October = Not My Month.

Sick x 2 (people) + 8 busy days (appointments) + 1 trip out of the country (Victoria) + 3 days inflicted with muscle spasms in neck (ouch) + 1 house on the market (yikes) = My October.

It's tough to type right now. I hope your October was simply wonderful! Maybe November will be much, much better for us all. Talk to you then. Hugs Lovelies. xox=vv.

Check It Out Update.

Oh hi there!! It is so nice of you to visit! We are still recovering and recuperating here (is that redundant?) which has given us a lot of opportunity to make the most of our local library. I am still very tired and kind of loopy (a life-long affliction) so today I will have to leave you with a partially illustrated list of my most recent borrowed beauties.

Sew Subversive - I think that this is a fun book with easy and stylish projects. I am not really sure that I will make any of the projects, but it sure is fun to read and peruse!

Photoshop CS2 Raw - First of all, look at this little girl. Could she be any cuter? I want one straight out of the catalogue that they got this one from. Cute. Cute. Cute. Now then, this book is surprisingly un-complicated compared to a lot of the photography and Adobe books that I have read and I would suggest it for any level of photographer (who owns a copy of Photoshop CS2).

Sew U - I doubt that I even have to say very much about this book. It is concise and lovely. It makes me want to throw out every item of clothing in my closet, to start all over again all on my own, and to have the skill of Wendy and the body of the illustrated models. This is my very favorite book of all.

Fashion Illustrator - This is a great book. I love it. Anyone who wants to improve their people drawing skills would benefit from this book. This definitely takes place as my second favorite book.

The History Of Love - This book is simply in a league of it's own. This is one of my favorite reads of all time. The characters are rich and well developed and I find myself engrossed in the lives of every single one. You can join in on Lovely Lisa's Online Book Club at the Ship Of Fools.

Well, last night's Rat City Rollergirl's Championship Bout was a bit disappointing because neither of my favorite teams won. The Derby Liberation Front was undefeated ALL season and then lost by 3 points to the Sockit Wenches. Sad. It was fun though. Oh yeah, I forgot, it was really uncomfortable this time. We sat cross-legged on a concrete floor for 6 hours. Have you ever heard anything so sad in all your life? We are not physically fit enough to SIT at a sports event. *giggles* I am going to blame flu-like muscle pains! Oh well, I guess I should go practice sitting for next season. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Hugs and hugs! xox=vv.

Dreaming Of Home.

Hello Lovelies! I am feeling a little bit better today! Yay! I do not want to jinx myself otherwise I would say that I am officially on the mend. But I won't.

Our friend and realtor visited with the Mister last night (I waited down the block in the car with the dog cause I was not sure if I was contagious *smile funny*). The realtor said some things that I would call positive, if I was not superstitious, but I am, so I won't! I am very cautious about getting my hopes up. Having said that, here is my current favorite of all the homes that I have stared at longingly.

Now, I am not sure that I would call this my dream kitchen just yet, but please imagine it painted white with some beautiful new countertops and new appliances. I would use the shelves for display storage of beautiful things and it would be beautiful. Beautiful.

Tomorrow, we are off to explore the city. We will find a lovely place for breakfast, visit Plush You, and attend The Rat City RollerGirls Championship Bout. We will meet with the realtor again early next week. *eek* Next weekend, we have tickets to the Regina Spektor concert and a day trip to Victoria planned. Busy Busy Busy. I am looking forward to it.

Oh and with all these events on the calendar we are very happy to have our camera situation figured out. We did return the D70 for the D80 (the salespeople at Ritz simply adore us). You see, I am a girl who likes up-close detailed pictures of still objects and He likes the fast paced world of high flying bird photography. The increased megapixels and zoom capabilities of the D80 and the new 18-135 lens make this far more enjoyable for Him. Since, it was supposed to be His birthday present I am glad that he is really starting to enjoy it!

This lovely little local birdie is one of His very first pictures. Before the D80 all of the birdies looked like little blurry dots. He is absolutely delighted and that makes me very happy. Well, I better get going. Talk to you soon! Hugs! xox=vv.

I Am Found.

Hello lovely darling beautiful people! I am here and I am sorry I have been away sooo long, but I am sick, sick, sick and He has been sick too! I expected to be better quite a while ago, but alas I seem to be getting a little better and then worse. Not sleeping too well and things taste yucky!

This is the only thing that tastes good right now, Changs Mongolian Grill. Mmmm ... Yummy! This photo was taken at dinner with our new Nikon D80 (yeah I know more on that later). The waiter kept giving me funny looks. Doesn't he understand? I am weird!

Lost was great last night and Project Runway was even better! I am so happy that Jeffrey won! I loved everybody's work and I thought they were all beautifully created. However, I think that his work was not only beautifully constructed but also showed a lot of ingenuity. I was so nervous for him that when Heidi paused dramatically before announcing the winner I squeezed my eyes shut and winced. I clapped and clapped when she said his name!!

Well my cough is back and this post is much longer than expected. I owe everyone an email and I am casually checking out blogs but not commenting. I am thinking of you all! I hope you are all doing very well!

Oh ! I forgot! The realtor is coming by today. We are going to try to sell. I am very afraid that it is going to be impossible in this market. Would you please keep your fingers crossed for us?

Thank you in advance. Have a wonderful day everyone! Hugs! xox=vv.

Lost. Lost. Lost. Lost.

Yay! I can not wait! Lost premiers tonight! I am so very excited!

In other news, I am super distracted because we are discussing the possibility of a move from the suburbs back to the city. I think it is a lovely idea and the thought is making me giddy. So, I am off to day dream of crown molding and bus systems. Hugs to you all. xox=vv.

The Shy Monsters are now available at Mahar Drygoods !! There are a very limited number of books available at his fabulous site! I am so completely excited and it is a wonderful compliment that he has allowed my little monsters to mix and mingle with all of the very wonderful and beautiful items he has for sale! I hope they don't break anything!

So anyhow, Robert is a wonderful color-er and if you are looking for a little Halloween surprise for someone special it is very possible that this set might just fit the bill. Hugs and more Hugs and Yay! xox-vv.
